   I am currently a student studying towards attaining a BA Hons in Fine Art at the South East Essex University. Through this blog I aim to share my work as an online portfolio, document my process and explore and review the works of relevant artists. I swear its all in the name of art?

 

     In recent months upon undertaking a highly personal and confessional aspect within my art I have become increasingly interested in the combination of both food and sculpture. After creating a painting  that included food materials into the paint application, I began to look further and into creating a more three dimensional piece. Encouraged and inspired by the works of Boo Ritson, Jennifer Rubell and Felix Gonzalez-Torres, I aim to create a sculpture that is equal to my own body weight with the chance for the audience to sample and participate in the piece. The sculpture accompanied with the painting can be viewed at the up and coming university end of year show at  East Street, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6LQ, United Kingdom.
